Directed Service - Create more web-based applications especially those that leverage existing and emerging web technologies to enhance user experience, increase staff productivity and increase knowledge management at K-State Libraries.
- Work with Instruction Unit and others to create modular instructional content delivered via web technologies at point of need.
- Collaborate with others to move our entire Web enterprise to an open source content management system such as Drupal
- Increase teaching and reference skills.
Non-Directed Service - Serve the wider campus community by teaching classes such as DAS 100 - Freshman Seminar.
- Increase involvement in technology-related committees in regional or national library organizations.
Research / Creative - Submit for publication or presentation on open source solutions for libraries such as Drupal.
- Submit for publication or presentation on projects at K-State that have application to the wider library community.
- Increase participation in the open source community.
- Complete PHP programming certification.
- Pursue coursework leading to an Archives Studies Certificate through Emporia State University or advanced degree in knowledge management.
